Republican Sinn Féin Fully Supports Bus Drivers Strike
Republican Sinn Féin fully supports the strike action taken
by Bus Eireann workers to defend their hard won rights.
James Connolly wrote “that the re conquest of Ireland must
mean the social as well as the political independence from
servitude of every man, woman and child in Ireland”.
100 years later these words were never more true.
As republican revolutionaries we recognise the importance of
the Dublin transport strike which lit the torch of liberty in
August 1913. The trade union movement must defend Irish
workers on every front. An Phoblacht Abú.

LOUGHGALL WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN
The eight men ambushed by the British Army SAS at
Loughgall in County Armagh must not be forgotten or
ignored in the current drive to normalise British rule
throughout Ireland, a spokesman for Republican Sinn
Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the
editor of the RSF paper Saoirse Nua said that the
aspiration to a new and united Ireland is now under
severe threat from former Republicans who have
sold out and surrendered to the British.
In fact the volunteers who died at Loughgall
have been denied by a group of self-described
republicans led by Ruairi O’Bradaigh and Des
Dalton who have disbanded cumann named after
the men who were murdered by the British Crown.
This type of narrow self centred behaviour has
led to splits in the Republican Movement but
the duty of all true republicans is to honour
the memory of all those who have died in
the on-going struggle for Irish freedom.
There cannot be a cut-off point after which deaths
of volunteers are no longer remembered or recognised.
May 8th marks 26 years since the ambush at
Loughgall where the eight men were killed
in a deliberate operation by the British to
weaken the IRA resistance campaign.
We as true Republicans will never forget the
sacrifice they made and their memory will
forever be honoured by all those who adhere
to the principles of Irish republicanism.

Death Of A Tyrant
There can be no better word used to describe Margaret Thatcher than a tyrant. During her reign as Prime Minister of England, she ruthlessly oppressed and presided over the illegal occupation of Irelands 6 counties along with many other illegal occupations carried out by England throughout the world. Let us remember with pride the 10 brave Irishmen led by Bobby Sands who made the ultimate sacrifice as they died on hunger strike, showing the world that Irish soldiers would not be criminalised and broken by the British forces of occupation lead by the evil tyrant Margaret Thatcher. This woman denied prisoner of war status to Irish Republicans fighting for the freedom of Ireland, along with having them tortured and murdered. The evil deeds committed in Ireland by the war criminal Margaret Thatcher can only be compared to those committed by Oliver Cromwell. Like most tyrants, Thatcher was despised by the majority of the people of her own country, as can be seen by the large number of street party’s taking place in England to celebrate her demise. Margaret Thatcher cruelly oppressed the working class people of England, an example of which was the miners’ strike, in which she presided over the crushing of the coal workers by the oppressive English Conservative Party which she lead at the time. We must also remember the brave patriots of Argentina who died as they attempted to free the Argentinian Malvinas islands from Brutal British colonial occupation enforced by Thatcher. The evil tyrant Thatcher may have escaped judgement and punishment for her war crimes and crimes against humanity in this life, but she will not escape judgement and punishment in the next one.

Statement From The South Down Command Of The Continuity Irish Republican Army
The South Down Command, Continuity Irish Republican Army have approached two feuding families in Newry and Bessbrook and ordered them to cease feuding immediately. They have been making life misery for the whole community including the children of the area. We know the names of the individuals involved in this feuding, who are members of the Travelling community.
If they do not cease their actions immediately, severe military action will be taken against them. RSF SAY AGENCIES LEAVE LIMERICK
LIKE ARABS IN THE NIGHT
The Regeneration Agencies that promised so much for a
renewed and crime free Limerick have folded their tents like
Arabs in the night and departed the city, a spokesman for
Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston the local RSF
chairman said that a public meeting held in Our
Lady of Lourdes parish earlier this week was kept quiet
by the regeneration agencies because the message
was one of no hope for a better future.
“The meeting was not attended by any City
Councillors and local people left in tears
because they were told that Regeneration has
ended, he said.
When people asked about the gaping holes left
in rows of houses by demolition they were told
no new houses would be built.
So instead of regenerating the area the agencies
have left eyesores behind and now condemn
ordinary decent people to live in such conditions.
With the Free State police now saying that gang crime is
rising in Moyross and Southill, it must be asked
what has been provided by the Regeneration
Agencies for the millions they have spent. They
have left Limerick really no better and the
ordinary people are again picking up the tab.

RSF OBJECT TO IRISH FREE STATE TROOPS JOINING
BRITISH SOLDIERS IN WAR TORN MALI
The deployment of Irish Free State troops alongside British
soldiers in war torn Mali is yet another nail in the
coffin of Ireland’s traditional neutrality, a spokesman
for Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick,
the local RSF chairman and editor of Saoirse Nua
said that the step has profound implications for the
future.
This development while portrayed as a peace
keeping exercise has huge implications for
the 26 Counties. The fact is Irish Free State troops are
joining with the British Army in a war zone.
This deal sets the tone for future arrangements
and brings Irish Free State soldiers into a Euro army.
The Defence Minister with the Dublin Free State Administration
says that the deal is part of the normalisation of
relations between Britain and Ireland.
It is far more – it is normalising British rule in
Ireland and as Irish Republicans we object to such
moves because they are watering down our
neutrality and national independence.
All the ideals of national freedom and self
determination that the leaders of the I916
Easter Rising died for are being dismantled
and demonised. It is time to call halt!

SOLAS LEADERS WERE DISMISSED FROM RSF
The latest announcement from Solas stating that they
have nothing to do with RSF, a named individual or
any other organisation is an attempt to give themselves
some sort of legitimacy when the truth is they were
dismissed, a spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin
said today.
Joe Lynch, from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the
local RSF chairman and editor of Saoirse Nua said that
people were dismissed in Dublin, Limerick and Belfast in
order to ensure the integrity of the organisation.
It gave RSF no pleasure to dismiss members but the fact is
these people engaged in anti-Republican activity and it had an
adverse and detrimental effect on the Movement, he said.
The principles of the Republican Movement cannot be tarnished by
the actions of people who claim to be supporters. Therefore these
dismissals were necessary to send out the message that only the highest
standards of behaviour are acceptable.
The fact is some people using the
name of RSF were involved in criminal gangs and extorting money and
causing division within Irish Republicanism thus damaging the cause of a
new and united Ireland.
A few of these dismissed people are now behind Solas
and they say they are raising money for independent POW’s in
jail. That is entirely their own affair – the truth is RSF wants
nothing to do with them.

REPUBLICANS MUST NOT BE CONDEMNED
The widespread linking by police of criminality to what is
described as dissident republicanism must be challenged
in the current climate because it is not only incorrect but
an attempt to demonise all those who hold strong
traditional republican views, a spokesman for
Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the
local RSF chairman and editor of Saoirse Nua said
that in the condemnation of the murder of Free State Det Garda
Adrian Donohoe there is a trend to link criminality
to republicanism.
No one condones cold blooded murder by criminals
as in this case but common sense must also be brought
into play; it is certainly not in the interests
of true republicans to tarnish their cause.
The age old aspiration of the Irish people to
a new and united Ireland should not be demonised
by those institutions engaged in the
normalising of British rule in Ireland.
The fact is partition is still in force, our country
is divided and the Six Counties are occupied by British
troops. A former commissioner is on record as
saying that for as long as British troops are
in Ireland there will be an IRA to oppose them.
In the current climate men and women who adhere to
traditional principles and core objectives of Irish
republicanism are being demonised and criminalised.
This mud throwing must cease, the aspiration to a
new and united Ireland is still a valid political objective.

REPUBLICAN WOMAN SEEKS POLITICAL STATUS
The only female Republican prisoner in the 26 Counties
is being denied copies of a Republican newspaper and
has her mail opened, the President of Republican
Sinn Féin said today.
Seamus O’Suillheabhain from Broadford in County
Limerick said that Rose Lynch is being singled out
for unfair treatment by the prison authorities simply
because she is a republican prisoner.
In a letter to the Governor of Mountjoy Jail she
outlines how her follow comrades in Portlaoise
Jail have been accepted as political prisoners.
However my situation is quite the opposite she
writes. “My visitors have to book visits. They
are subject to search by sniffer dogs. My mail
has been intercepted by the OSG and I have to
wait for weeks for mail. Money has gone
missing from my mail.
“I was led to believe that on an informal basis I too
was accepted as a political prisoner and once an email
was sent to Portlaoise and it was confirmed that POW’s
were allowed our political newspaper I also could receive it.
“Today I was informed that you have stated you will not
accept political status here in Dochas. I am not a criminal
and therefore will not accept being treated like one.”
It is obvious that Rose Lynch is a political prisoner and
she must be granted political status to end this impasse.

LET ALL THE PEOPLE VOTE ON
A NEW AND UNITED IRELAND
The call by Gerry Adams for a border poll
on a united Ireland is simply bluff and bluster in
the run up to the 100th anniversary of the 1916
Easter Rising, the vice-president of Republican
Sinn Féin said today.
Frank Nolan from Ballyfermot in West Dublin
said that the call from the leader of the
Provisionals who sold out and surrendered
on the traditional principles of Irish
Republicanism in order to become British
Crown Ministers is a case of hard core
political hypocrisy.
The fact is the leader of the current
Fine Gael and Labour Free State administration
in Dublin has ruled out a Border poll.
Under the Stormont Agreement it is
up to the British Secretary to call a
poll. Therefore nothing will happen
without the permission of the British.
We in RSF say any poll should not be
confined to the occupied Six Counties.
Instead all the people of Ireland should
be allowed to cast a vote on the question
of a united Ireland. In 1918 this was done
and the majority favoured an Ireland
free from British influence.

NASTY INCREASE FOR
COINBOX PHONE USE
A nasty price increase of one hundred percent was foisted
on consumers over the holidays when Eirecom increased
their coin box charges, a spokesman for Republican
Sinn Féin said today.
Sean O’Neill from Quinn’s Cottages in Prospect, Limerick,
a local RSF community activist said that many people
have been shocked at the size of the rise.
It is now two euro to use an Eirecom phone box up from
one euro, a one hundred percent increase he said. No
other public service has imposed such a savage
increase on consumers.
The fact is people of limited means use coinbox
Telephones and this savage increase it hitting
Those who can least afford it.
Eirecom should be ashamed for imposing such
a savage increase without adequate warning.
It comes at a time when Eirecom is also cutting
telephone benefits to old age pensioners.
Surely an increase of this size should attract
the attention of the Competition Authority.

G8 Summit 2013
This year’s G8 summit is focused as usual on how some of the worlds
richest nations can further strip undeveloped poverty stricken countries
of their assets and resources under the guise of concern and helping
out.
David Cameron is using this year’s G8 summit in County Fermanagh to
showcase the illegal entity of Northern Ireland to other countries and
invite them to do business here, this is another action that again
clearly indicates British intentions of never withdrawing from Ireland,
whilst at the same time using the lure of big business to convince these
other countries to aid and abet the illegal occupation.
In the final parts of David Cameron’s G8 speech on 21st Nov 2012 he says
"Northern Irelands transformation over the last two decades was made
possible by the courage of so many people across all sections of its'
community. Their determination and leadership has inspired the world"
This statement is a pat on the head to the provos for being submissive,
it also tells real republicans that this farce has gone on long enough,
the past two decades of meekness from certain others has only served to
further the interests of the British and their capitalist counterparts.
In short, nothing has changed and nothing is going to change, events
like the G8 summit being held in Fermanagh clearly demonstrate this. The
Good Friday Agreement is built on lies, Tony Blair admits this in
writing in his book "A Journey". Right thinking men and women will see
this sham for what it is.
Revolution requires sacrifice, sacrifices that are made without even having
to think about it, true men and women will not have to be asked to fight
because their convictions will lead them to the arena of war.
The status quo can be changed and will be in the fullness of time.

Republicans must continue their hard work in helping
the movement gather momentum in 2013
In a recent media interview, Peter Robinson gloats over the numerous
events of 2012 that helped Britain further promote their occupation of
the North of Ireland, events that included the Olympics, Derry being
highlighted as UK city of culture, Diamond Jubilee celebrations and
numerous other events strategically held here in Ireland to reinforce
the British normalisation program.
Martin McGuinness on the other hand did not have as much to say, apart
from commenting on the economic crisis that his friends in the British
Government helped to create he also spoke about succumbing to the Queen
of England and commented on the so called peace process. In this
interview McGuinness has allowed Peter Robinson to lord himself over
Republicans and is nothing more than the underdog who shouldn't be
trusted or relied upon.
In 2013 McGuinness, Adams and company will continue to run
with the hares and hunt with the hounds as they have
done in preceding years. It is up to working class people to come

or anywhere else will never make. 2013 will be as hard a year as any

RETIRED SINN FÉIN MUST DEPART
The claim by Geraldine MacNamara from Tipperary who

Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping must be seen in the
context of the Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping, a spokesman

Paddy Kenneally from Crusheen in County Clare said
that the Ó Brádaigh/Dalton grouping had claimed various events
and commemorations that never took place in a
series of web sites created to give the impression
that they are a vast organisation.
They are cyber active, that is all, they engage in
internet sniping at those who are true Republicans
because they have been left behind in the move
forward by Irish Republicanism.
It is an insult for people who have denounced true
Republicans to stand at the graveside of a man
like Sean South and pretend to hold dear the
principles for which he died.
These are people who have abandoned all and
any vestige of Irish republicanism by holding
a secret gathering to recognise the 26 County
Free State Administration in the interests of
claiming money.
They cannot call themselves Republican and they
must be challenged at every opportunity. They are
a hindrance to the move forward and it is time they
left the stage because they only title they can claim
is Retired Sinn Féin.

FREE LIAM CAMPBELL AND BRING
HIS BROTHER HOME SAY RSF
While the decision to refuse an order to extradite Liam Campbell
to Lithuania because it is likely he would be held in inhuman and
degrading conditions is welcome, the fact is, he has been incarcerated
in a British Gaol for a period of time equal to a six year sentence and
should be released right away, a spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin
said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the RSF

decision of the Belfast court in regard to the inhuman
jail conditions must also be extended to his brother
Michael Campbell who should be returned home
immediately.
The fact is Liam Campbell has served a sentence
equal to six years while on remand awaiting the
outcome of this extradition hearing.
The court decision not to order his extradition
because of the inhuman and degrading jail
conditions in Lithuania is a landmark case.
His brother Michael is currently serving a
sentence in jail in Lithuania under the same
conditions now found to be inhuman and
degrading by the Belfast court.
Liam Campbell must be freed immediately
and his brother repatriated to Ireland without delay.

Statement from the Michael McVerry/Seán McCaughey cumann of Republican Sinn Féin, Portlaoise Gaol
It has come to the attention of the Republican P.O.W.s of the Michael McVerry/Seán McCaughey cumann of Republican Sinn Féin, Portlaoise Gaol, of the existence of a scurrilous press release issued by the Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping. This press release attempts to cause confusion in relation to the annual Republican Sinn Féin Seán South commemoration and is also a direct attack on republican prisoners who are incarcerated in Portlaoise Gaol as a result of their desire to see their country free from foreign occupation.
The Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping have alleged that the Seán South commemoration reported on by RTÉ television’s Six One news on January 7th was not organised by Republican Sinn Féin, this is a blatant lie, as the commemoration reported on by RTÉ news, was in fact the only commemoration organised by Republican Sinn Féin on the day. We condemn these lies which can only be viewed as an attempt to attack the republican movement by a miniscule group of bitter and jealous individuals who departed from the republican movement in 2010. The Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping also state that that no statement such as that referred to in the news report was read out at the Republican Sinn Féin commemoration, this statement refers to the statement read out at the Óglach Seán South commemoration on behalf of the Continuity Irish Republican Army prisoners currently incarcerated by the Free State regime in Portlaoise Gaol.
We the Republican P.O.W.s of the Michael McVerry/Seán McCaughey cumann of Republican Sinn Féin, Portlaoise Gaol take this opportunity to state that the statement read out on behalf of the Continuity Irish Republican Army P.O.W.s was indeed read out at the only commemoration organised by Republican Sinn Féin in memory of Óglach Seán South on the day and we view the comments issued by the Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping as a scurrilous attack against Irish Republican P.O.W.s. We also place on record, the fact that this embittered group have no right to make any statements in regard to Irish Republican P.O.W.s in Portlaoise Gaol, as there are currently no Irish Republican P.O.W.s aligned to the Ó Brádaigh/Dalton led grouping incarcerated in Portlaoise or any other Free State Gaol. It is time for the people responsible for these lies and scurrilous attacks to step aside and desist from releasing further ignominious statements as they are nothing more than another obstacle on the road to the Irish Republic.

AS LONG AS THERE IS A BRITISH PRESENCE IN
IRELAND THERE WILL BE AN IRA
In response to a letter published on Friday 11th Jan in the Irish Examiner
in which former republican Michael Mac Donncha of Provisional Sinn Féin
embarks on an anti-republican rant which includes some provocative insults
about splinter groups, the following facts need to be pointed out.
He is right in saying the armed conflict is over – for the Provisional
IRA and Provisional Sinn Féin. He seems unaware of the comments
of 26 County Police Commissioner Pat Byrne who is on record
as saying that as long as there is a British presence in Ireland
there will be an IRA.
The reality is Provisional Sinn Féin have crown ministers administering British
rule in Ireland and it would not be political to have these people the
targets of the Provisional IRA – therefore the conflict for the Provisionals
is over because they are now crown servants.
Simple as that – while the Provisionals can take Crown Minister titles,
they also cannot continue to hold Irish Republicanism.
Being a Crown Minister, supporting the Crown and advancing
Crown rule in Ireland is incompatible with being an Irish republican:
that is self-evident.
Therefore there will be what he calls splinter groups,
but Republican Sinn Féin is not a splinter group because it adheres to the
traditional principles of Irish Republicanism. The republicanism of a way
forward for a new four province federal Ireland where the rights of the
unionists are acknowledged and respected as outlined in EIRE NUA.
The republicanism so long abandoned by Fianna Fail, and more
recently by the Provisionals.
Therefore the question has to be asked what was Michael Mac Donnacha
doing standing by the graveside of a Republican soldier who gave his
life on active service against the British presence?
It was an exercise in base hypocrisy – but then the Adams led army of
revisionists are expert at political hypocrisy. The fact is Sean South
died for the cause of a united Ireland. Today our country is still
divided. There is one solution, and that is a declaration of
British withdrawal.

FREE STATE DEPUTY COLLINS FORGETS HIS
GRANDFATHER WAS IRA LEADER
The intemperate outburst of Limerick TD Niall Collins
over a commemoration for Sean South in Limerick yesterday
must be tackled because of the sheer stomach churning
political hypocrisy involved, a spokesman for
Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston the local RSF
chairman and one of the Organisers of the event
said the reaction of Deputy Collins was uncalled
for and smacked off trying to garner publicity.
The call from Deputy Collins to eradicate
Republicans is going too far, he said.
The fact is the Limerick politician comes from a
long line of men who have used Republicanism
to ensure their careers.
Deputy Collins seems to forget that his grand
father Jimmy Collins the long-time West Limerick Free State
TD, was an Adjutant of the IRA during the
War of Independence.
The record shows that Jimmy Collins opposed the
Treaty, therefore he was on the Republican side
so should he now also be condemned for his views?
Sean South died on active service against the British
presence in Ireland and Limerick people have a right
to remember and honour him. The attempts by Deputy
Collins to sully Irish Republicanism do him no credit.

Republicans will never allow British or Free State
to criminalise Republican prisoners.
A warning that no solution from Westminster was ever in the
interests of anyone but Britain itself was issued at the annual
Sean South commemoration in Limerick by Seamus
O’Suilleabhain, the President of Republican Sinn Féin.
Delivering the oration at the Republican Plot in Mount
St. Laurence cemetery, he said that true Republicans
will never allow the British or the Free State to criminalise
Republican prisoners.
“We salute all Republican prisoners as we stand at this graveside
and remember the sacrifice made by Sean South in the cause of
Irish freedom. The same patriotism is visible today when we consider
the Republican prisoners in Maghaberry and Portlaoise prisons.
From the beginning of the process to normalise British rule in Ireland
we have said that there are major flaws in the Belfast Agreement.
Our analysis of the outcome of the betrayal by the Provisional Movement
has been proved correct.
Today the on-going struggle for Irish freedom is being hampered by former republicans
who are now Crown Ministers and are in the pay of the British
Queen. Their solution is not in the interests of the Irish people.
The attempt to copper-fasten British rule in the Six Counties has been
accompanied by “the blatant re-Anglicisation of the 26 Counties. We see
economic colonization on every high street in every town in Ireland.
The border has become blurred but it has not gone away!
It is up to us to follow the example of men like Sean South and restore
the Republic. Our task for the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 1916
Rising is to replace apathy with idealism and cynicism with patriotism.
We demand Ireland’s full freedom and will never surrender that inalienable
right. We will continue to resist British rule in Ireland!

STATEMENT BY JOE LYNCH EDITOR SAOIRSE NUA
The allegation by Des Dalton to the media that Saoirse Nua is
produced by a Limerick based criminal gang is going far beyond
fair comment in political matters as not only is it untrue, but
amounts to the distasteful practice of felon setting.
The fact is Saoirse Nua is produced by Republican
Sinn Féin as a party newspaper and is widely distributed
in the 26 county Free State, the occupied Six Counties
and to many foreign lands.
If the tabloid media focus on Saoirse Nua there is
nothing we can do about it expect endeavour to
provide our analysis of the current political situation
in relation to the national question.
There is no need for Des Dalton to react in such
an abusive and dismissive manner if he objects
to newspaper coverage. For him to describe those
who produce Saoirse Nua as a criminal gang is
slander – there is no other word for it – but
his reaction must be considered in the light of
his own failed political career.
Therefore his bitterness at leading a decreasing
gang of Retired Sinn Féin is understandable but it is
no excuse for him to describe hard working and true
republicans as a criminal gang.
In short, he is now doing the dirty work of the 26 county
political police, the RUC, the Provisional Crown Ministers
and all those other pillars of the establishment who fear
men and women who adhere to the traditional principles
of Irish republicanism.

Stop Before You Drop!
ANTI-DRUGS CAMPAIGNER REVIVES ORIGINAL DRIVE AGAINST DEALERS
One of the founders of the anti-drugs drive in Dublin over 25 years ago is so alarmed by the increase in the activities of the pushers that he is reviving the campaign. Well known anti-drugs campaigner Paddy Kennedy of Dublin’s South Inner City is now appealing for people to march against the drug dealers. “It is men like Paddy Kennedy who first alerted the public to the dangers of the drug pushers in the community. He was a leading member of the South Inner City anti-drugs committee. He is so concerned about the current situation that he is now re-activating the original anti-drugs campaign and RSF are backing him with a leaflet distribution drive in communities throughout the country.
The leaflet is designed to appeal to young people and outlines the dangers they face from illegal drug use under the heading: Stop Before You Drop! At this time of severe financial strain on many families, it would appear that the evil dealers are increasing their efforts to push illegal drugs on more young people. Our message backed by Paddy Kennedy is simple: keep away from illegal drugs, it will only bring misery and death to young people and their families. Paddy Kennedy can be contacted on 089 4746041 by anyone who wishes to become involved in the anti-drugs campaign.

ATTACK ON WEAK AND POOR SAY RSF
Many families in Limerick have been driven into poverty
as a result of cuts in the budget, a spokesman for Republican
Sinn Féin said today.
Sean O’Neill from Quinn’s Cottages in Prospect, a local
RSF community activist said that the poor are paying the
price for the criminal actions of the bankers and the
property speculators.
This budget has simply made the richer hold their
wealth while reducing the living standards of
most ordinary people he said.
The fact is those on limited or low incomes or
dependent on social welfare are now paying the
highest price because of the cutbacks imposed
by this uncaring Free State Administration.
The politicians created the problem in the first
place by not allowing the banks pay the price
for their greed.
Now the most vulnerable, the young and the
elderly are being hit by savage cuts to their
standard of living.
The members of the Labour Party in this
Free State Administration should be ashamed of
themselves by taking part in what can
only be described as an attack on the
weakest and poorest in society.

ARREST OF RSF LEADER DENOUNCED
The arrests of Irish republicans by the political police
is simply an exercise in harassment and it will not
deter men and women from their vision of a new
and united Ireland, the President of Republican
Sinn Féin said today.
Seamus O’Suillheabhain from Broadford in County
Limerick, a well-known historian who's latest book
has just been published condemned the recent
arrests in Dublin.
“The vice-president of RSF Frank Nolan from
Ballyfermot was arrested along with his brother.
The fact is his brother has already appeared in
the Non-Jury court and denied a charge of
membership so these latest detentions are
simply a way of continuing to harass men and
women who are true republicans.
There is no crime in holding an aspiration to
a new and united Ireland but those who work
to normalise British rule in Ireland seem to
be determined to destroy that age old desire
by the Irish people.
However as long as partition lasts and our
country is divided and that division is
enforced by the British military presence,
the Irish people have a right to campaign
for national self-determination.
The British can resolve the conflict instantly
by declaring their intention to withdraw from
Ireland.

WITHDRAWAL BY BRITISH ONLY ANSWER
The call by British Crown Minister Martin McGuinness for
the public in the occupied Six Counties to support the British
police with information into the killing of a prison officer
marks a new departure for the former IRA commander,
a spokesman for Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the RSF
National spokesman said that the question that has to be
asked is how much information has Martin McGuinness
already given to the RUC/PSNI?
The fact is the men and women of the IRA acted on the
orders of Martin McGuinness at one time and engaged in
activities that he now condemns for the safety of Stormont.
The actions of Crown Minister McGuinness is an insult
to the memory of all the men and Women who died on active service
while he was an IRA commander.
Ireland is still a divided country and that partition is enforced by
the might of the British army and police. And as long as this situation
continues armed struggle for Irish freedom is inevitable.
Rather than urging the nationalist people to become
police informers, Crown Minister McGuinness could
make a valuable contribution to ending conflict by
campaigning for a British withdrawal from Ireland.

FINE GAEL MUST NOT HIJACK 1916 ANNIVERSARY
The refusal of the leader of Fine Gael to hold a referendum
on a united Ireland similar to the Scottish decision on
independence betrays the real attitude of the Dublin Free State
Administration to the national question, a spokesman
for Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the
national spokesman for RSF said that the simple yes
or no approach of the Scottish referendum provided
a template on the question of British withdrawal from
Ireland.
The need to get the economy in order is now being
put before any discussion on the national question
according to the Fine Gael leader.
But one of the outcomes of a continuing partition
of Ireland is a distorted economy and all the
division that a border brings to both the 26 and
6 Counties.
The current Fine Gael and Labour Free State Administration
are now trying to link in commemorations of the
Great War with the 100th anniversary of the Easter
1916 Rising. This type of disgraceful historical revisionism
is an insult, not only to all those who died in the
struggle for Irish freedom, but to the people of
Ireland.
The 100th anniversary of 1916 should not be hijacked
by a party that executed men who sought the full
freedom of Ireland and denied their bodies to the
families for 50 years.

RSF CALL ON BRITISH PRIME MINISTER TO
EXTEND SCOTTISH YES OR NO IDEA TO IRELAND
The decision of the British Prime Minister to allow a yes
or no vote in a referendum on Scottish independence
should be replicated in the 32 Counties of Ireland on
the issue of British withdrawal, a spokesman for
Republican Sinn Féin said today.
Joe Lynch from Ballinacurra Weston in Limerick, the
national spokesman for RSF and editor of the party
paper said the simple yes or no question will now
determine the future of Scotland.
For over 800 years we in Ireland have had the
British presence and this fact is the root cause
of conflict. The Scottish approach should now be extended
to Ireland so that all the Irish people will have a
yes or no say on the British presence.
Heretofore separate referenda in the 26 and 6
Counties with differing questions cannot be
taken as a joint expression of the wishes of
the Irish people.
Instead the British Prime Minister must allow the
Scottish referendum mechanism be extended
to the 32 Counties of Ireland in relation to the
future of the British presence.
The only way the future of Ireland can be agreed
is if all the people of Ireland vote in relation to
the continuing British presence.
